I discovered that I don't have submenus when using Megamenu on mobile devices. What can be wrong?

Hope to hear soon.

Regards, Hans

Hello Krachtstroom

It is normal. Megamenu is not designed for the offcanvas view. You can only have the regular menu items on the offcanvas.

Best regards

Hi Ofi,

I was not aware of that, thought I saw it working in the past. So how do I get a menu with subs in the off canvas position?

Regards

You have to design a different menu for the offcanvas if you need the megamenu items. Perhaps, you watched it wrong. Megamenu was never designed for offcanvas. It was fully for desktop from the the Helix initial version.

Hi Ofi,

I don't get it. When I make another menu for the off canvas, it's also a Megamenu. Maybe because I use Helix Ultimate?

Hi Ofi,

I have to agree with Hans.

Sub menus in the offcanvas work on older android 8 (which is why you probably remember it working ), but on android 12 it now does not work.

My joomla, php, helix 3 template are all up-to-date.

What can we do?...

No, you need to take a new menu to show your megamenu item on the offcanvas. But this type these should be used as a normal menu item (megamenu option turned off). On the offcanvas menu, no item will be set as Mega Menu. I hope that you understand this.

Dave

Submenu item not visible looks like a different issue. Please post a new question and we will check it.

Hi Ofi,

Sorry for the delay. I don't have a Megamenu switch. Any ideas?

Hi Ofi,

Think I found out what the problem is (don't know how to fix it). I looked at another site of mine. Same configuration Helix Ultimate, latest Joomla etc.

This site is showing submenus in the offcanvas.

Only difference is: toplevel item is a link to a page, where in the not working site, the toplevel item is a menuheading. Think that is the problem. Any ideas?

Yes, you have found the issue. It can be solved with CSS. Please use this CSS to Template Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS

body.ltr .offcanvas-menu .offcanvas-inner ul.menu>li.menu-parent>.nav-header>.menu-toggler{
    right: 0px;
}
