Floox Template - Home Page (single Article) Indented /offset By DIV (div.author-info?)

Hi, I'm a new customer trying Floox template. I've got a silly problem; possibly two problems. I am trying to migrate from JoomlaShine (now closed down, sad) template to Joomshaper Floox. I am not using SP pagebuilder - I am sticking with Joomla native articles and categories.

The menus and articles of the site are established for some years. I cannot contemplate redeveloping from scratch, and I may have some unwanted compoent causing my issue(s). I have purchased and installed floox in to the existing site on an internal XAMPP development host. Much of the move is a success.

The default menu homepage loads a single article. I have done little to the Floox menu config other than choose the menu. I have taken a screenshot using Firefox web-developer tools to highlight the div I beleive is indenting the article body.

The template layout row for the menu article has the 'component' property set. This property seems to be vital for Joomshaper Mega Menu to function. With the 'component' property unset I can define the position, but I think that is not what I need if I want to make use of many Joomshaper template features?

Please advise?

Note - it is difficult to expose the Joomla internal development website instance, but not impossible with some effort.

Hi there!

Thanks for contacting us.

I am really sorry to say that I could not understand the issue you are suffering from.

Would you please explain it more? maybe with screencast?

Can your site be uploaded to any online server and then share your site URL here to check?

Best Regards

Hi Rashida,

I am sorry my description was not enough detail, but I am pleased you are willing to investigate.

I have arranged to make the website visitble to you, please refer to hidden content for the URL.

This website is incomplete and is going through a process to replace JoomlaShine template and components with Joomshaper.

The template used is Floox, which displays the page content from an article (not using PageBuilder). Note the first line "SAVE ECHILLS WOOD RAILWAY – EMERGENCY FUND" of the content has a faint box to the left. This box is defined by the following section of the page:

<!--//.entry-header-wrap --> <div class='col-sm-3"> <div class="author-info"> </div> </div>

If I interactively remove 'col-sm-3' from the page source using Firefox web developer tools, the indent disappears! What element of the layout sets the 'col-sm-3' CSS class? It is not shown in the template layout editor for the main body (which is the component area) row, or the single column within.

I also tried another Joomshaper template 'Spectrum', which does not have the indent behaviour. I can swap top that template when you ask, to demonstrate if needed.

Hello.

I have not heard from you since I published the development Joomla website. Have you seen it, and noted the indent caused by the div with class="col-sm-3" ?

Thanks,
