Luxyort Footer - Question | JoomShaper

Luxyort Footer

M

Mike

Template 1 year ago

Greetings wonderful team,

Please take a look here: https://ibb.co/YfN3TH7

The top one is yours, the bottom mine.

  1. Notice the width of your newsletter sign up form. I can't get mine wider (Can't find corosponding CSS).
  2. See the fonts. Yours are bolder - A little more striking.

Mine was created using the quickstart but I'm still getting a different look / layout.

I know that some of the templates supply a #settings.json file but there's nothing for Luxyort.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Mike

Hi there Mehtaz,

Thanks for responding so quickly.

I'm 99% sure that if you create a test site via the J4 Luxyort Quickstart, you'll see what I'm talking about.

The reason I'm so confident here is I've tried a few times - the results are consisent and duplicatable... At my end anyway.

With this in mind would you be willing to troubleshoot at your end?

https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates/luxyort See if your installations' footer looks like the demo.

Am interested to learn what you discover...

Kind regards and thanks again for your great support,

Mike

HI,

When I install the demo it seems like this on my end.

Its better share your site URL so that I can check and try to solve it via custom CSS.

Many thanks for doing that Mehtaz...

Sorry it didn't reveal what I was thinking. :(

Would you be as kind as to take a look at this Joomla 4 install (no shaper quickstart) with Luxyort set as the default template? I've populated the footer positions 1 - 4.

If you can figure out how to make this match your demo and if you can pass me the code, I'll be a happy fellow.

Kind regards again,

Mike

PS Error reporting @ "Maximum" reveals "fontSubset" & "fontFamily" errors.

For example;

Warning: Attempt to read property "fontSubset" on null: /plugins/system/helixultimate/src/Core/HelixUltimate.php

on

line1200 line 1211 line 1196 line 1198 line 1211

Thought I'd point this out incase it's contributing to the footer fonts & layout in question.

Good morning Mehtaz,

Was just thinking, I'm planning on using 2 templates on my site.

When the first one has been completed, could I install luxyort_quickstart_j4_v2.0.0.zip right over the top of that Joomla installation?

The reason I'm thinking this way is I did a test luxyort_quickstart_j4_v2.0.0.zip install and you're right, the footer and layout is correct.

I would personally rather not populate my site with all that the quickstart avails but if it's not easy to stylise the Luxyort footers via CSS, perhaps that's my only option?

Anyways, I'll wait to see if you can come up with any other solutions first.

Have a great one,

Mike

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. You can install the quickstart also. But make sure you have backup. And please give me that problematic page link so that I can try to solve it via CSS.

All good Mehtaz,

I did send you through that problematic page link yesterday (All concealed under "Hidden Content" as I included the admin login details too (in case needed)).

Thanks for giving it a shot and please let me know if you need anything else.

If you can match the fonts and layout there to the Luxyort footers demo, please send me through the CSS and I'll be good to go.

Thanks again for looking into it.

Best,

Mike

Fonts look great Mehtaz!

Can you also widen Footer 1 left (the newsletter sign up position)?

QuickStart Version: Exclusive Discount & News Direct to your inbox.

Template Only Version: Exclusive Discount & News Direct to your inbox.

Hopefully this would also push the "Important Link" menu items to the right a bit for a better overall balance as per what's created by the QuickStart install.

See: https://ibb.co/YfN3TH7

Is this doable?

Many thanks again for your efforts,

Mike

Ok Use this custom CSS

.sppb-alert-warning{
    word-break: break-word;
}
#column-id-1620455297351 {
    width: 250px;

}

Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code.

Hello Mehtaz,

It's starting to look better.

Please see: https://ibb.co/Lh4ftPM The top one is the QuickStart Version, the lower, the Template Only Version with your CSS applied.

Notice the big arrow pointing down. I need some CSS to push the Important Link menu right.

Also, could you please send through the CSS you used to update the fonts as seen 4 posts above in "Do you want it like this? https://prnt.sc/Eg9mk8GvCoNZ "?

I appreciate your help. We're nearly there.

Thanks for the appriciation. Use this custom CSS for important portion.

@media only screen and (min-width:992px) and (max-width:1550px){
div#sp-bottom2 {
    position: relative;
    left: 60px;
}
}

And for fonts I did not use any CSS, it comes after template upgrade I guess.

Hello Mehtaz,

I applied the above CSS to the template/site that I've given your login details for under "Hidden Content" but it didn't move the "Important Link" menu items right as desired.

Would you be as kind as to add your CSS directly there so that I can see the desired results first hand?

Further, RE: the fonts, are you saying that a template upgrade is required in order to achieve the basic look of the promoted Luxyort template or are you suggesting that the correct look / layout can only be achieved by installing the full QuickStart version including all of Joomla right over the top of an existing Joomla installation?

Yes, that looks fine but that's not the site we're working on.

Please produce that look on the site shown under "Hidden Content" that I have provided you.

It's just a simple Joomla install with the Luxyort template (no QuickStart).

Why does this not look right?

Good morning Mehtaz,

PS RE: "You can also use custom CSS to achieving this font."

Why would I need to do that?

I have installed the Luxyort template. The CSS is in the template, right? ... Or is it not?

If not, I can only assume 2 things.

  1. Your template is faulty and needs to be fixed by your coders.
  2. There is something in my server set up that is breaking the layout / look.

Please investigate and let me know which one you think it is.

I've waited a week now with very little progress/support and this is getting very frustrating.

If you can't sort this issue out today, please elevate this conversion to someone who can get it resolved quickly.

I've found that Paul Frankowski is very good in this regard.

Kind regards,

Mike

My last post appears to have been deleted so here we go again…

RE: "I dont know what's the issue." Is there someone there who does?

Let's recap on the 3 issues we’ve been discussing over the last 7 days.

  1. Widen position 1 – Newsletter sign up

Great news. Your code appears to have worked. Well done!!

.sppb-alert-warning{
    word-break: break-word;
}
#column-id-1620455297351 {
    width: 250px;

}
  1. Move “Important Link” menu items right.

Sadly, the following code you have supplied has no affect here;

@media only screen and (min-width:992px) and (max-width:1550px){
div#sp-bottom2 {
    position: relative;
    left: 60px;
}
}

"My Css should work." I was hoping it would, but unfortunately it does not. Is there someone on your team who is more specialised in this area?

“Even you can also insert the CSS on your desired website.” Clearly my footer does not look like the Luxyort demo, therefore, I have not received what I have paid for and am leaning on you for support in this matter.

  1. Make footer fonts look like the Luxyort demo.

“And for font which font do you need? Please mention I will also solve that.”

Regrettably, we’ve had no success here so far.

If you compare my footer to the Luxyort demo footer you will clearly see the difference. I want the fonts in my footer to match the fonts used in the Luxyort demo.

If points 2 and 3 are not clear would you kindly advise and I’ll clarify even further.

Again, I can only assume 2 things.

A) Your template is faulty and needs to be fixed by your coders. B) There is something in my server set up that is breaking the layout / look.

If you are unable to diagnose and/or solve this problem, would you kindly forward this conversation onto somebody there who is able to resolve it (Perhaps those who coded the template or upper management)?

I do appreciate your efforts and thank you for you support Mehtaz but I do need these issues resolved quickly and it seems like we're going around in circles.

Kind regards,

Mike

1: Fixed

2: Use this CSS

@media only screen and (min-width:992px) and (max-width:1550px){
div#sp-bottom2 {
    position: relative !important;
    left: 60px !important;
}
}

3:Use this CSS

body {
    font-family: 'Lexend', sans-serif;
    font-weight: 400;
    font-style: normal;
}

Fonts look great Mehtaz... Great job!! Very good work!

Please see this: https://ibb.co/MRmXMVW "Important Link" needs to move right and the links under this heading should be bold.

Hopefully achieving this will unlock the correct width of the newsletter sign up position too.

Thank you,

Mike

@media only screen and (min-width:992px) and (max-width:1550px){
div#sp-bottom2 {
    position: relative !important;
    left: 60px !important;
}
}

Good morning Mehtaz,

Unfortunately, your new code has no effect on the front end whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure that you know that despite sending me pictures of it looking correct.

Yes, I also do believe that we have come to an end but I still need to speak to someone at Joomshaper who can resolve this issue.

I'm very disappointed that you're telling me that I can do it when you can't... You're Joomshaper support, not me.

You've given me a lot of code that does nothing. Why not just admit that you don't know what's wrong and you can't fix it?

From there the correct response would be to escalate this ticket to someone who can diagnose and address the problem?

Please contact Paul Frankowski who has bailed me out once before when others couldn't or send this to the template developers.

If this simple problem cannot be resolved, I will not be able to continue with Joomshapper.

This would be a great shame as I do like a lot of what your company offers but you do need to be able to deliver to your customers what you're selling and in this instance, you are unable.

Please get this to someone who can fix this fast of please let me know what the issues are instead of throwing this simple request into the too hard basket.

Thank you for your efforts to date,

Mike

Many thanks Mehtaz,

I really do appreciate your help and sorry that I'm a bit of a problem child.

Thanks for your efforts.

I did try dumping the Lux Quickstart straight over a demo site that I put together locally (same as the one we were working on) but it didn't fix the layout.

If I do a fresh Luxyort Quickstart install using a brand-new database it looks perfect, just like the demo.

There must be something in the quickstart package that kicks everything into place but installing just the Lux template on a new Joomla install reveals the issues in the footer layout that we've been trying to rectify.

I've noticed that some of your tempates come with a #settings.json file. Perhaps one is needed for the Lux J4 template.

Anyways, hope to get to the bottom of it.

Absolutely love your PageBuilder and the import / export functionality.

I was with another template provide for a number of years but they have come off the boil and your designs are now clearly superior.

Thanks for your help and I'm sure you'll look forward to working with me on another exciting issue down the track ;) Just my sense of humour, don't be offended.

Have a great one,

Mike

Is that domain name still current? I cannot get it.

maybe this block bottom1 is too narrow on your end. Check Template Options > Layout > Bottom section and for columns grid use

4+2+3+3 as we have inside our demo template.

Many thanks Paul,

I'll check that out.

There's something in the quickstart that sets it all up right but when I set up Luxyort without the quickstart, the footer menus / layout doesn't look right.

The other thing is that the fonts don't look like your demo either but if I do a clean install of the quick start version it's perfect (fonts and layout) but I can't do that as I'm already running another template which is the main one. This site has 2 different templates.

I've seen that some of your templates have a seperate little file that can be applied whereas Luxyort doesn't.

As I noticed for bottom1-bottom4 we used font named: Lexend

and in first bottom1 addon title has font-weight: 500 (bold)

check what uses yours.
