How To Enter Intro Text

SP Page Builder 3 years ago

I have just installed SP page Builder and getting to learn the ropes. I have enabled Integrated Mode so that I can build articles, categorised as normal for display in various lists.

I can't see somewhere where the Intro Text is entered, so have tried adding a row, and the first Addon is a text block, which includes the standard joomla read more <hr> tag.

But the intro text does not appear as expected when looking at the article in a list.

What am I missing? I'm sure this is catered for, and it's just a newbie struggling to come up to speed.

Hello

Thank you for your query.

You have to add intro text with default Joomla Editor. Write your intro text and insert "read more" from Joomla Editor. To create an intro text, after creating and saving an article in the Page builder editor, switch to the standard joomla editor, add intro text before "read more" separator (don't delete the text from SPPB editor which you will see there), then save the changes, switch back to the SPPB editor and again save the changes.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks Ariba.

I will try this tomorrow, as it seems it might be messy and it is getting late here.

Perhaps a suggestion would be an add-on that generated the read more or a setting in the SP Page. I am switching over from the JSN Page Builder since JoomlaShine have closed up shop, but it was a simple popup to add the intro text there from within the page bulder environment. Is there somewhere I can make this sugegstion for a future release?

I had to try it before I went to bed. Actually, it's not complicated at all, as the read more code already there. This works fine for me. Thanks for your assistance, you can mark this closed!

BTW, I clicked the wrong vote for the answer. Can you change that. I didn't realise and now it won't let me down vote me so I can up vote you.

Thansks

I have another question. The intro text is qorking as you described, and not onerous to do before or after.

I can see intro text in the listing, but when I click Read More, even though the option to show intro text is selected, in the article options, it does not showthe intro text when the page is displayed. I can't see any other differences between this page and the other s built either with JSN Page Builder or normal articles, which all include the intro text when that option is set.
