Hello, I'm using Joomla 4.1.5 and PB 3.8.7. Its not possible to save changes if PB is used as module in backend edit mode for me. In Frontend edit mode, everything works. Any clue?

thanks Stefan

Hello Stefan

Please go to this location: modules/mod_sppagebuilder/fields and replace pagebuilder.php file with the attached file. You need to unzip the file and then replace.

pagebuilder.php.zip

Best regards

Hello Ofi,

thanks for the swift answer. This is what I did, but now backend edititing is not working at all anymore.

Is it correct to remove pagebuilder.php and replace it with mod_sppagebuilder.php? This is a different filename and the new file is much smaller (almost no lines of code)

thanks.

Apology for the mistake. Please update the file now. I have edited my comment.

Hello Ofi,

the updated file you share is the same as originally installed by PB. Backend Editing is possible, however no changes can be SAVED!

This looks like a different issue. Please share a screenshot of your issue to understand it better. Take a screenshot and share via any platform. For example: Lightshot

Hello Ofi,

the issue is quite simple. Everything I add or edit in PageBuilder (Module) is not stored when using "SAVE" or "SAVE + CLOSE" in BackEnd Edit mode. ( Module: SP Page Builder) All changes I want to commit need to be done in FrontEnd Editor mode, else they cannot be stored.

Not sure what I can share in a screenshot - everything looks normal, except the fact that nothing is SAVED.

Hello Ofi,

I did some further tests and SAVE does work when using Chrome Browser. However, it doesn't work with Apple Safari on MacOS 12.4.

Maybe this helps to narrow down the problem.

many thanks :)

Please do one more test. Download a fresh SP Page Builder latest version from our site and install on yours. If that doesn't help, then I will check the issue.

Hi Ofi,

I run 2 tests and installed 2 new Joomla instances, without any Template, but only PB:

  1. Joomla 3.10.10 with PB 3.8.7 - Save does work in Backend Edit mode.
  2. Joomla 4.1.5 with PB 3.8.7 - Save does NOT work in Backend Edit mode.

Hence, the Save issue seems to be with Joomla 4.15 version and Safari only.

I guess this should be easy for your Dev team to reproduce the same on your end.
