Row Background Image, Fit To Row Size

I am using a background image in the Top Row (at row level) of my home page. My goal is to have the image initially resize to the size of the row then as the user changes the size of the window would resize with it.

I have duplicated the settings of the themes that come with the quickstart file which seem to mimic the behaviour I am after but can’t quite work it out.

Is what I’m after possible? if so which settings should I focus on and does the size and dimension of the image matter? I'm trying to avoid the image being the only thing the visitor sees when they initially come to the site so I am hesitant to make it too tall

While I am using SP PB Pro, I am not using any theme, just working off whatever came with Quickstart 4 and adding/removing as needed. As always I am eternally grateful for any and all assistance.

I have visited your given link and it seems good at my end as it resizes with responsive window!

Would you please give me a screencast showing the exact issue you are pointing to, kindly?

However, if you are concerned with the height of the row, then you can use a fixed value for the row height. You may reduce the padding value you have set already there either!

Thank you for your response. Maybe what I 'm asking isn't possible or it would just look silly anyway

Edit: I think this is a scenrio where my ignorance of how images and rows work and I just need to spend more time trying various options. Have left stuff below if you were curious. Your answer accepted, thank you :-)

Actually, depending on row and window width/height, the background image scales. This is how background image behaves, and it's quiet normal.
