How To Make SP Builder Working In A Test Website Which is A Sub Domain?

Hello,

regarding the issue I have with Payment Form (another topic), I create a test website. It is in a subdomain of my main domain.

Everything works fine except the fact that I could not edit the SP Builder pages with the frontend editor. I have a message about the token is not valide. I am not authorize to use that resource.

Please would you tell me what I should to make the frontend editor works in a sub domain?

Regards

It works now.

When I created my subdomain, the default version of PHP was 7.4.

I changed to PHP 7.3 and everything is running correctly.

Hi, to be honest I use SPPB for over 60 subdomains and works correct. The message with token can be from Joomla itself. It doesn't have to be from SPPB. So you have to double check if sessions setting in Joomla are correct.

Start from this: Are you able to login to front-end using Joomla Login component or login module? Use at least two different browsers to be sure that it's not a cache issue.

tip 2: Problems can be also if JCH_Optimze compression level is set too high. So it's good to disable that plugin (for testing period), clean Joomla cache and check again.

Hi Paul,

thank you for your replies.

Here are my answers to your suggestions:

  • I am able to login thru the frontend. No problem.
  • I tested on different browser. Same effect. I cannot edit my page with the frontend editor.
  • There is no cache, no JCH extension.

Do you any idea about what could happens?

Hi Paul,

I forgot to say that my sub domain is a copy of my main domain. All the SP Builder pages have been created in the main domain. The problem occurs when I try to edit them in the sub domain.

Maybe it can help you to give me solution for my issue.

We will add PHP 7.4 and PHP 8 full support soon. By now use lower version, PHP 7.3 is still valid & safe.
