I had to downgrade to PHP 7.3 to restore front end editing - that was three days ago. (Joomshaper techs are aware of it.)

So, still it doesn't work?

Did you try the FAQs, please?

How the frontend editor behave? any error or infinite loop or empty page?

I have updated that dev site to 7.4, and added some hidden information here. You won't break anything - the site is backed up. Front end article images have been enabled in the article options. Use the offcanvas login button to edit a blog item on the front end. (That beautful Helix UI will be rendered as something out of 1993.)

For those experiencing a front end 404 error when editing with JCE, there is a bug in Helix that can be fixed with a modifcation to one of the templete plugin files. See the accepted answer - posted over two years ago - at the link below. This worked for me.
