Hi, I'm trying out the new pagebuilder.I tried to import a json file from layers into a joomla article. The import works and the article is visible, I linked it to a menu item, all ok. However, editing does not work, a white screen appears.

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. I think your server blocked to load the page builder resource. Will you please check this site on your localhost and contact your hosting provider.

-Thanks

Dear Toufiq, I find your explanation untechnical and inadequate to solve the problem. This test site is hosted on a specific hosting for joomla where we have several sites in production, J3 and j4, without problems, with your products (template & pagebuilder 3.x).

On this site, the editing of pages created with Pagebuilder goes smoothly, there are no blocked resources.

Why do pages work and articles from .json file do not work?

If I inspect the article I reported to you there are errors in the console, but they don't seem to be blocked resource errors.

These errors are not there if I inspect a page made with pagebuilder.

I have the utmost respect for your work, and I understand that the launch of a new product puts stress on the structure, but responses of this kind are not acceptable.

hello, I think I have found the reason for the error. In the page I exported in .json there is a custom addon. During the import pagebuilder fails to render this addon (which is not listed).

If I remove the custom addon and export the page the import from the .json file works correctly. The article is created via the .json file and is fully editable.

Since the problem seems to be clear, the only immediate solution (for my site) is to edit the pages that use these proprietary addons.

Articles for me are indispensable because I have to be able to use the Article scroller addon, there is no Article scroller equivalent for pages.

Hi there, Thanks for your investigation support us. You also didn't mention there was override addon. We aren't ready yet for the override addon. We need time to make override addon fully compatible with Page Builder 4. Thanks
