SP PB 3.8.8

Before I do any updates, I need to know if SPPB 3.8.8 supports JCE editor. I have a group that logs in on the front end to create an article that is published as a full page on our website.
Our website changes on a daily basis, I cannot afford to have anything "break".
The reason I ask is because SPPB 4.0 at this point based on the blog reports, does not support JCE.
I have to update my PHP, but cannot do that until all my forms (and there are many) are recreated in yet a "new" updated version of the form building plugin, then need to update to Joomla 4.x, now this update and no help on whether things work or don't work. The attitude from the mfg of these products is try it and see if it works!
AND unfortunately running a test site does nothing for me as I cannot bring that live as it will be behind in the daily updates. AND no I am not a coder.
I am beyond frustrated!

Thanks for contacting us. We do not have any major issues with JCE editor now. I can confirm for both SP Page Builder 3.8.8 and SP Page Builder 4.0.2 versions. Please use JCE version 2.6.29+. Hopefully, there will be no issues.

Thank you. What is very strange is that our website automatically updated to version 3.8.8. In the past with any updates I have had to manually allow. This was very strange.
However, the JCE editor does work as expected on the front end.
