Lite Functionality On SPPB 4

Hi, updated SPPB to v3.8 then upgraded to v4 but only had Lite functionality with nowhere to add the licence details. Talked to chat who suggested downloading Pro from the website.

Installed this download and could install licence key. All seemed to work ok yesterday.

Today however had only Lite functionality. Checked licence key and the field was blank. Moving away after saving key and then returning shows the licence key field had reverted to blank.

Chat suggested downloading again which I did and the licence key is remaining. However, only Lite functionality on the SPPB editor.

Also just noticed that if I create a new Page then it indicates it is saved but isn't showing on the list of Pages.

Any thoughts?

  1. Just re-install with SPPB Pro 3.8.8 file. Then clean Joomla cache, then clean browser cache deeply.
  2. SPPB 4.0.2 a week more, but if SPPB 3.8 works fine - you can also wait for SPPB 4.0.3 update to be sure that "everything" was fixed.

Just noticed that new pages are not showing in the list but do appear if I search for them!

Hi Chirs,

A rush is not a good advisor, wait for SPPB 4.0.2 update! Honest advice.

By now Install SPPB Pro 3.8.8

In database of website check what update path you have stored for SPPB component. Probably somehow you still have " -lite.xml" instead of "-pro.xml"

Use PHPMyAdmin from cPanel to search in tables.

Hi Paul, is there a way to revert to 3.8.8? Or how long do you think the next release to 4.02 will take?

If not then I can do a restore.

Thanks

I prefer to be honest, and not artificially exposing you to unnecessary stress.

You're welcome.
