Note: Do you have backup of your site? If yes, then you can roll back your old version with your site. Otherwise, there is no way to downgrade Page Builder 4 to 3.

I fully agree, I have a brand new clean install and version 4.0.6 and I cant edit my pages now, been using SPpagebuilder for years with no issues on the backend version, absolutely hate this front end version, its stopping me doing business. Whats the point of page editor that will not let you edit pages?? I cant select text, it does not give the correct cursor I can only edit by moving the cursor along using arrow on the keyboard. If you dont continue to develop the excellent backend version I can confirm I wont be renewing my account with you.
