SP Page Builder 3 years ago

I installed the SP Page Builder 4.0.3 today. It rendered the Component Menu only 1 menu item to a white page. I restored the site (3.88 and the admin menu has sub-menus now). Just a heads up.

Hello connecting point

It looks a third-party plugin conflict. Your site has carddav plugin which has the error shown.

Best regards

Honestly, I think it is a Joomla 4 issue. All these sites are on the same server with cPanel.

When trying to update via Watchful I get errors, I am able to update J3 sites in the admin successfully.

I do notice that the file path is like this though in the extension update:

shaper_helixultimate Site Template 2.0.10 2.0.11 N/A Update https://www.joomshaper.com/updates/shaper-helixultimate.xml

System - Helix Ultimate Framework Site Plugin 2.0.10 2.0.11 system Update http://www.joomshaper.com/updates/plg-system-helixultimate.xml

Here is the admin after installing SP Page Builder 4.0.3

https://snipboard.io/04NRJn.jpg There is no accordian menu to the options.

I am also using the Fixter template. Is this PHP 8 compatible?

When I restore back to the 3.88 version all is working as expected.

You are welcome 😊

No, fixter is not PHP 8 compatible yet. It might conflict with the latest PHP version. It is advised to use PHP 7.4 until we update the template.

Hello,

I installed the SP Page Builder 4.0.3 on a fresh Joomla 4 site. It is not the template that is the problem on this one. The SP Page Builder on this version opens a new window to make a page. The dropdown menu is non existent in the admin.

I reverted back to the 3.8.8 version and it is fine. Definately somethings amiss on the 4.0.3 version.

I have also gone live with another migrated J3 to J4 site. This time upgrading from 3.88 to 4.0.3 it completely broke the site.

Here is the error. 0 Failed opening required '/home/sislers/public_html/components/com_sppagebuilder/builder/classes/base.php' (include_path='.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php80/root/usr/share/pear')

I wasn't able to install via the standard process. Here is the error I am getting:

https://snipboard.io/2wOkTE.jpg

Help me to understand this new version better. I installed it in another site with no issue during that process, but I don't have drop down menus for the functions (pages, media, categories, etc.). I am going to revert back to ther 3.8.8 version

Hello,

This is working, however, the button to go"back to admin" doesn't work on any of the site's I've installed it. I can only close that window. If you can get that fixed I think we'll be all set. :)

Hello,

I have another site that continues to fail on all sppb updates. I have provided credentials for you in the hidden content. Can you please see what is going on?

Currently J4, PHP 8.0.24 SPPB 3.8.8. I tried to update to 4.0.5 but it breaks everything so I restored.

Please wait for the next version of SP Page Builder 4 then. Always keep a backup and then check SP Page Builder 4 on the site. Since it's a new architecture, it will take some time to adapt.
