User Menu In Delacroy Template

Template 3 years ago

Hi, I am using the Delacroy template. When I am logged in, I can see a user menu in the upper right corner. This menu has the user icon, my username and two menu items (Profile and Logout). How can I edit this menu so that I can add several other menu items for the logged-in user? I cannot find the right place to do that. Thanks Uwe

Hi,

as I remeber it request template plugin code customization, becuase that module was overriden by us.

Here:
plugins\system\helixultimate\overrides\mod_login\default.php

Hi Paul,

I have checked it but this plugin is not what I am looking for. It must be some other plugin or module.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, it is the login that only shows when I switch it on in the template settings (Basic -> Header -> Enable Login).

Could you please double-check?

Thanks!

I have found it. It's in /templates/delacroy/features/menu.php. I can edit it but how can I make sure that my edits do not get overwritten when I install an update of Delacroy? Is there a way to create a custom override for this file?

Indeed, if we don't talk about login module,

is here:

templates\delacroy\features\menu.php

I am using the standard Joomla login module. But as I said above, the changes have to be done in /templates/delacroy/features/menu.php and I now need to find a way to protect them against getting overwritten. Any idea?

Sorry, but that file cannot be overriden.

So you have few options:

  1. Note it! And remember after next template update, templates are not updated so often, so nothing to worry. Keep backup of customized file in case of.
  2. Change file rights from 644 to 444 - it may help.
  3. Use customized login module instead. But it's very time consuming.
