What is The Helix_ultimate_plugin_pkg_xxx.zip Download?

For the Helix template there is also a download file called "helix_ultimate_plugin_pkg_2.0.11.zip".
What is this? Must it be installed after the Helix template or is it optional only? And what features does it (=plugins zip) offer?

Accepted AnswerAll JoomShaper templates uses Helix, some olders Helix3 and new ones Helix Ultimate.
Helix Ultimate plugin is part of Helix Ultimate package. So Yes, plugin is part of your template and should be updated and enabled. Otherwise your template will not work.

Thanks for contacting us. Plugin file is used to update the templates which are based on Helix Framework. If the automatic update doesn't work, then you can install the plugin to get the latest Helix update.

Helix Ultimate contains two "extensions": template itself and Helix Ultimate plugin.
Helix plugin package is used to update all templates based on Helix Ultimate.

if we do not use any joomshaper templates, and we only use sp page builder and helix ultimate framework.. we do not need to install the plugin??
