But that is the offline page not the coming soon page. I'm very confused on how the coming soon page will override this where is the timer coming from?

No, that is not what I want. That doesn't tell me how to modify what is showing in the OFFLINE mode. Coming soon also takes away the front end login. Not what is wanted.

If you need modify the offline page then modify the offline.php file.
