SP Page Builder Modules Cannot Save

It is strange that when developing on localhost using Bitnami MAMP 8.0.20, the SPPB module can be saved.

However, after transferring to online server, the module cannot be saved. Is there any particular php extensions or setting requirements in order to enable the SPPB module to be saved?

The error page which comes up right after clicking the Save button says that ... Safari can't open the page "https: .... " because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes and then try again.

I have tried many times, either on the backend or frontend editor. On both, the error comes up.

Running on Joomla 4.1.5 with SPPB component 3.8.7, site module 1.6, administrator module 1.0.2

This issue happens on PHP version 7.4, 8.0, and 8.1

The strange thing is that I can import and save Joomla Article with SPPB integration.

Hello

Thank you for your query.

Safari can't open the page "https: .... " because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection

Can you try the following options to see if it helps?

  • Try deleting cookies.plist from your Library, empty the cache and restart.

  • From the Safari menu bar, select Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data

  • You can go to -> System Preferences, Network, delete the Wifi option and set it back up again.

You can check out the solutions here too:

I have switched over to using Chrome. The SPPB module can save in the backend.

However, it cannot save on the frontend. Upon clicking the Save button, the green modal pop-up message box says it is saved successfully. BUT, when the module is re-opened, the changes are NOT saved!

Obviously, there is some issue with saving the SPPB module, especially the frontend editing.
