Changes are Not Saved On SP Builder Pro Pages

Hello...

I have the problem that it doesn't want to save the changes I make to the SP builder Pro pages.

I have everything updated and have made the changes they suggest on their troubleshooting page, applied all the recommendations and adjustments, but I still can't make the changes and save the pages.

Also when I change an image of the sp builder pro home page template, it goes to the error page.

I attach data from the site, I hope you can help me with this please!

Thank you.

are you using SP Builder Pro 5.1.8 or above? Joomla 4.4.0? If so, there is a big issue with the Page editors. But until the team find the error i suggest you to use the frontend editor as it works better even if not perfectly (settings of the page are not saved).

Laurent Robin

It is important to know when they will have this correction that you mention, since I need to advance in my project and I am stopped and I have just made the purchase and downloaded the SP Builder Pro 5.1.8 component

Please help and tell all of us who bought the component the date when you will have the correction?...

Thank you and waiting for your prompt response.

Hello...

I already saw the link you sent me... https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/28978 but I tell you that I have already done everything it says there, I have tried three browsers, Opera, Google and Edge and it does the same thing in all of them, it does NOT allow me to save the changes only when I assign images to the template , but it DOES allow me to save all the TEXT and position changes of the modules and components, it just does not allow me to save the changes when I assign any image.

I am using Joom 4.4.0 with SPBP 5.1.9 and I have already tested with SPBP 5.1.8 and SPBP 5.1.7 and in the three browsers it does NOT allow me to save changes when placing an image.... and I am constantly cleaning the cache and all the temporary pages, taking care that nothing is blocked in Joomla 4.x and the browsers.

Help please... when do you solve this?...

No, the problem has not been resolved... it remains unresolved, I attach a video link that details where the error is.

Yes, I have already seen and read it a couple of times and I have already applied all the recommendations presented there and the problem is not resolved.

I still cannot assign any image to the main page, text changes and module position changes can be done.

The problem is when an image is assigned to the main page, the video explains and shows the error.

Helpdesk questions: Is your computer plugged in? Is it turned on? Does the page have a menu item?

I found that having a menu item - a hidden menu if the page is being kept from public view - solved this problem for me. If there is no menu item, then the page is in a cache which gets cleaned out periodically (per hour I think). A menu item puts it in the database so your changes will stick.

Thanks for the response and for trying to help, but...

I don't understand very well what you're telling me, what I understand from what you're saying is that:

  1. Shouldn't I have hidden menu items?...
  2. I must hide part of the main menu
  3. ..?

Sorry, I don't understand... could you be a little more specific or punctual with the example you mention?...

Thank you.

You can use an actual menu item, or an item in a hidden menu (the link will work, no one can see it) but either way you need to attach your page to a menu item for it to save permanently - that locks it into your database.

To create a hidden menu Menus > Manage > New > [name it something, the 'unique name' is-an-alias; I use Switchboard but the name doesn't matter]

Either way, select the menuyou want... then New > Menu Item Type > SP Page Builder > Your Page

I don't know your environment (localhost, staging site, production site). At the risk of over-coaching, step by-step images of my method here.

Thank you very much for the option you give...

I'm going to try to do it as you indicate and I'll let you know if the problem is resolved...

Maybe you could see the video I uploaded to show the error on my site.

Thank you.

That is weird. Do you see errors in the developer tools console? (right click > inspect > console)

And I assume you have installed the free version of Admin Tools (from Akeeba) and clicked 'optimize database' and 'fix permissions'?

No, I have not installed the akeeba tool...

I'll install it and see if it works, Thanks.

Creating a New Menu and assigning it the SPBulider page didn't work for me either... I can't assign any image to the main page.

Stopped by the Component Dispatcher - something deeper is going on, perphaps even at the server level. Sometimes I've run into problems with firewalls and mod security settings. My assumption is you have already re-installed Joomla core files, Helix, and SPPB. If this was built from a quickstart, some server assumptions may be wired in that might be corrected in a backup and reinstallation. Is there an update for the theme? Do you have access to a different server where you could install an Akeeba backup?

If you open the parent domain and view the page source you will see quite a few errors listed, incipit "COM_SPPAGEBUILDER". This is also a component and something Joomshaper might need to seriously look at, not just "apologize for the inconvenience."

One error I see relates to WebAuthn - you should go to plugins and turn this off. Also, since there are quite a few permissioning problems, try creating an alternate superuser account for yourself.

to view source, extend this by putting your domain name right after view-source:https://

Hello...

To solve this problem, what I did was delete the ENTIRE SITE and start over by putting the template back in and installing the new version of SP Build Pro 5.2.0 and that's how it works, not entirely well, but it ALREADY saves the changes and You can work.

Thanks....
