Please Remove Line Of Code On Template That Creates Canonical Tags

Hello friends,
Recently I ran into some difficulties with my SEO because there was a duplicate title and meta description on my homepage.
I have now fixed it, but I discovered in the process that the JoomShaper template creates a canonical tag, right from the index.php file.
The template should not create a canonical because a template has no way to know what URL is the proper canonical for a page.
I have removed the offending line of code (line 108) and the issue was solved.
I am only writing to ask you not to include this line in your templates, nor in any future updates.
