Settings In One View do Not Automatically Affect Other Views

Hello,

I have a question about the different view renderings for desktop and mobile views in SP Pahe Builder 4.0.5.

When I design a new page and insert rows, they are always created with default margins (top 75px, bottom 75px). The standard editing of the new page is done in desktop view. When I change the settings for the margins, whether by dragging them with the mouse or by manually entering them in the settings, it only affects "Desktop" and "Laptop". The margin settings for the tablet and mobile views remain the same and I have to change them there in addition.

Is that the way it is supposed to be? Is there a way to make these kinds of adjustments automatically for all views without having to make each change three, four, or five times? There may be cases where it makes sense to make changes to other settings depending on the view, but that's very rare for me and that's why I find it very cumbersome and tiring to really have to do that multiple times for each and every element.

Best regards, Georg

Hello Georg Mahler

Yes, the setting works like this. You have to set margin, padding, text formatting etc. separately for different devices. Click on the upper section of device selection and then apply the changes for the particluar device.

Hello Ofi,

thanks for the reply, although to be honest I would have appreciated an answer from support to such a simple question a little quicker than with a 3 day wait.

Elsewhere I had already criticized the reorientation, that only in the frontend can be edited, because that is for me a "toy solution" - click and drag. In my opinion, this approach also does not correspond to a professional way of working. If I want to change a spacing, I always have to start at the default and then repeat the whole thing 5 more times? I can't make a "master edit" that applies first once to all views, which I can then adjust in individual cases, but I have to make every single change six times, seriously?

Sorry, but SP Page Builder is becoming more and more unattractive. I already regret using the new version for my current project.

Best regards, Georg

Sorry to disappoint you and for the delay in responsing. Developers are constantly thinking how to improve it. Your feedback is highly appreciated on this matter. Hopefully, the product will be better in upcoming days and you will not regret.

Then I ask to pass this feedback to the developers. The current approach causes, in my opinion, completely superfluous incredibly high additional efforts for the designers. Regarding the possibility to still work in the backend, I don't think I need to say anything more due to the various comments from other designers... ;-)

Thanks and best regards, Georg

Sure, I had a discussion with the developer and brought a Good News for you. Developer have already planned of removing the default margin value. So, when you apply it on desktop mode, it will be applied on other devices as well. But it might not release with the next update. We might need 2 releases to apply it.
