Third Party Module (shortcode) Breaks Frontend Editor.

Hello, I am having this problem, that I'm sure has been mentioned before but I cannot seem to find it. When adding a third party module via shortcode (in this case it's balbooa gallery) the frontend editor does not work (I get the infinite loading loop). An easy workaround would be to login to the backend, change the shortcode (from [gallery ID=1] to anything else) and the frontend editor would work. Thing is, a client now wants access to editing pages and I don't think it would look good if I had to explain that situation to a novice user. Is there someway to not load the gallery in the frontend editor leaving just the shortcode? Or perhaps any other trick that would increase compatibility with balbooa gallery?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. Sorry to say that, the shortcode is not compatible with the Page Builder.

-Thanks

I undrstand and I thought that it would be. What I am asking is if there is a way to just ignore it on the frontend builder. I don't mind seeing a grayed out box or even better just the shortcode (not executed).

Thanks again.

You can try to insert the shortcode inside the module then you can try to load the module using module addon. Thanks

Did that too, still not working. I even set the module to work only on the page, hoping that the edit page would be another menu item that would not load the module at all still no luck.

If this does not work, you need to contact your extension provider. Thanks

Yeah, I did as well. I am just afraid they might point me at you.

If you think your end then you will understand our situation. It's quite difficult to add compatibility shortcode features for an extension. It's better than your extension provider can make it compatible with the page builder.

-Thanks
