SP Page Builder 3 years ago

Hello there,

I have made a few webshops using SP Pagebuilder... Now the server (of my hosting) get's updates to PHP 8+... 7.4 will soon expire... Everytime the updates get done the websites break, i have tried to upgrade them to joomla 4 but there is no good version of J2Store available nor is the SP Pagebuilder ecommerce released yet... Any updates on when this will be released? PHP 7.4 will no longer be updated and i want to keep everthing secure and safe... I remember this company to have a Wordpress version of a builder as well, themeum but does i let me freely adjust any template like SP pagebuilder does? I asked this question there but the told me that i could get help here...

Will Joomshaper bring out new templates soon for ecommerce? I always thought there were only a few templates for ecommerce but i could manage with it... Now i am stuck and i dont want to let my customers down...

How do you all deal with this?

I have tried Virtuemart with j4 but it doesnt work well... Also tried j2store beta but then i miss a lot of neccassary modules and other stuff... I then tried joomshopping but i cant build anything sweet with this either...

Anyone that can help out with a futureproof solution?

Hello there,

Thanks for contacting us. The team is working on our own ecommerce. Hopefully, you will get it soon. I will ask the team about the date and will get back to you.

The team is working on our own ecommerce.

That would be very interesting. I am very curious about that. :-)

If I may...

BY now I recommend using HikaShop the most trusted ecommerce for Joomla.

Yes, it works in both J3 and J4. Has many versions, also FREE.

I am also curious about that. Could you say anything about when it could be expected? Is the advice now to use Hikashop or wait for your ecommerce?

Hi Paul,

I have bought the Hikashop eccomerce... The functions are great but the look and feel is terrible... Styling with this is much of a hassle... I don't understand how i can make this look a bit more modern... If i understood correctly styling the hikashop requires some more knowledge of css and PHP, i think i will check woocommerce untill joomshaper will bring out their own ecommerce... I have to remake some webshops before the server deprecates php7.4 because i dont think we will be able to use J2store or the joomshaper ecommerce before that date... Hikashop looks nice but when you want to have it styled properly you have to have some good knowledge of different programming codes i guess...

In most cases you need only extra CSS is needed to improve design of HikaShop views.

I have been messing around with it a bit... For me it's just too much of a hassle to create a modern neat layout for the product listings and pages... For now i am trying woocommerce... really not a wordpress fan but the result will look a lot cleaner... at least for me...
