SP Page Builder 3 years ago

Hi,

As a member of group Author I can create an article but not publish it. When I try to save the article, it is a SP Pagebuilder article, it wont be saved. The error message is:

Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'published' at row 1

Other groups have no problem to save it. Versions: Joomla 4.2.4, SP Pagebuilder PRO 3.8.9

Thank you for your help and for fixing this issue.

Hi,

Sorry I can't give you an administrator access. Some customers do not allow it. This is a simple issue You couldn't reproduce it on your test system?

Thanks for your further help!

Hi,

Helix Ultimate 2.0.11 with the helix_shaperultimate. This is my new fresh local installation installed from Quickstart Pack - Joomla 4 - Helix Ultimate. I just added SP Pagebuilder Pro and nothing else. I get the same error.

You did not check what I wrote in the beginning:

"As a member of group Author I can create an article but not publish it. When I try to save the article, it is a SP Pagebuilder article, it wont be saved. " I created a user within that group. If you login as that user (see hidden credentials) you will get that error.

You should read more documentation of Joomla.

The error persists even reading the documentation which in this case is not of use at all.

The setting of the User Rights is legitimate and nothing strange. The Joomla Editor saves the article, that shows that the setting is ok. But SP Pagebuilder does not save the article. That is a bug. Would appreciate if you could fix it.

Thanks!

Please share a screencast video about the full scenario. Thanks

You don't need a video for that simple test: it would be like to shoot at sparrows with cannons.

Check this article.

Again: You don't have to create the article as administrator. You have to create it as the user I told you (see hidden credentials above).

The article is still the same. It was created by the administrator.

You have to login as the user I mentionned above in the backend and create a new SP Pagebuilder article. When you save it you get the error.

Yes, but you changed the Group of that User: It has to be the group "Author" not "Manager". As I wrote from the beginning: The User is Member of the group Author.

I changed the group again. Login in the backend with the User. Create an Pagebulder article and save it -> Error.

This feature doesn't change with the version 4. Please watch the video of Page Builder 3.

The group Author is not the same as the group Manager. It was like that in Joomla 3 and it is like that in Joomla 4. The group Author can create an article but not publish it. I wrot this also in the beginning.

Login in the backend with the user above of the group "Author". Create Pagebuilder article and save it -> Error.

How many times do I have to say it again? Unbelievable!

Did you watch the video of Page Builder 3? I think you didn't watch the video.

Yes, you are using the group Manager but not the group Author in the Video.

Again: Login in the backend with the user above of the group "Author". Create Pagebuilder article and save it -> Error.

Let's say I would use the group master instead of the group author for the user above. In the group master I would deny the permission Edit State like in the group author. The result: when I create a Pagebuilder article and save it -> Error

You must have to enable edit state.

What do I have to check? If you test it like I said there is an error. If you do always something else as I explain certainly you don't get the error. If JoomShaper wants to fix that error it is up to you. I don't want to spend more time on this with you.

Regards.
