I've just downloaded the quickstart and updated Joomla (the quickstart is out of date). Using SPPB v4

The menu appears broken, see link https://imgur.com/a/nLCf6nG

Can someone advise?

Yes, it's not a hotel room - not sure I understand the analogy.

In any case, I have spent most of the day updating out of date extensions that came with the quickstart package, and Joomla.

In any case, I think i'll start with a fresh, up to date version of Joomla.

Hi Johnny,

it seems to be easy to correct. Share site link.

BTW

What screen resolution you have? Or at least what laptop screen size ??

@Rand you have to use custom CSS for that.

For example using a very basic syntax:

#sp-section-2 li {margin: 0 7px;}

Paste in Template Options > Custom Code > Custom CSS

Next time use Code Inspector from your browser >> https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/which-line-of-css-i-have-to-edit-code-inspector-in-action

Hi Paul,

My site is localhost so I'm unable to share.

If you can share the changes I can make them.

My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080

On my private demo site is OK, and it seems that we both have similar resolution.

As you know from our Support Policy - our help on localhost is very limited, so add real content, made changes etc. and upload on real hosting one day, then we can talk.

By now check settings of submenu width etc. that's all I can say without seeing site code. Doctor also cannot cure person via mail/phone in all cases.

Paul, I downloaded the quickstart package from here and all I did was update Joomla (it was out of date) and SPPB Pro to v4 (also out of date).

Now the menu looks like this https://imgur.com/a/YKBbo0X

I'm unable to select any of the menu items, when I move my mouse down the menu disappears again - presumably because of the gap.

Notice the gap at the top, and the 'Featured Courses' columns have disappeared.

I have made no other changes.

Inside menu item was a module (displayed on the right size) that's why you have a gap now.

Maybe easier would be create a NEW menu, and add/move there menu items that you really needs. And replace menu name in template options.

Playing with Quickstart demo content is not always easy.

I still haven;t made any changes but when I logout and view the menu, it's fine https://imgur.com/a/9StikUQ

Ironically, the quickstart doesn't make things very 'quick'.

it's pretty obvious, it's not a hotel room. Every site is (should be) different. Demo is only to show all features. Then webmaster should consider/choice what is really needed from it. Maybe only 50%, and whole rest have to add by himself.

Some webmasters install Quickstart on subdomain to preview how something was built- but they start with "clean" Joomla with all needed extensions + template.
