Quick Install No Longer Works?

I tried installing a template (BabyCare) and got a message:

Environment Setup Incomplete It looks like you are trying to run Joomla! from our git repository. To do so requires you complete a couple of extra steps first.

It states there: With Joomla! 4 we have changed the development process. It is no longer possible to clone the repository and have a usable Joomla installation. We follow best practices and implement a build process for the CMS.

Any response to this? I'm trying to get a website done and haven't been able to get any further.

Wow, to be honest I never seen that message before.

Give me 40 min to check (confirm) and in case of... prepare a new QS J4x for you.

I checked "babycare_quickstart_j4_v2.0.0.zip"

and I could run installer.... and install QS

BTW

Template package cannot be installed without Joomla! So I don't know what you uploaded.

Maybe:

  1. Your FTP tool renamed files in /installation folder
  2. You didn't upload all files from "babycare_quickstart_j4_v2.0.0.zip"
  3. Or you tried install template package instead of Quickstart?

I don't have other explanation. All works fine, two persons tested that.
