Page Builder 4 Saving Work Flow & JCE Editor

Saving Work Flow: Is there an option to enable a 'Save & Back' top right menu item link when editing a page? When admins are logged in through the front-end of the site, make an edit to the page and then click 'Save & Close' the window closes and loads the Page Builder admin panel which then requires the user to click the top right 'X' in order to go back to the front-end view, and in cases when testing on my local MAMP server the user's session is also ended, so the admin would need to log back in again to make any new edits (but that might just be how my test site is setup).

JCE Editor: Is it possible when adding/editing text using the TEXT BOX addon with JCE Editor enabled that the JCE editor window displays automatically, without the need to click on the 'T' icon below the text container? With PB 3 the editor auto loaded in the lefthand coloumn which saves an extra click for the user. The current setup with PB 4 seems clunky.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Justin,

Sorry for delay.

  1. There is only what you can see. In most cases just use "Save" button, if you need more click (...) to see others possibilites. But sure we can consider UX changes also in that area. I fully agree with you, people are used to it from other components. info_367_2023.jpg

  2. Can you make a screenshot and share link to it that will show me about where JCE should be.

Is what I see on my own test site

Hi Paul,

Apologies as I accidentally clicked 'Accept Answer' to your reply when editing my most recent reply.

Regarding #1, that would be great if you could incorporate something that would take the user back to the page when finished editing via the front-end like version 3 does.

Regarding #2, I have a first load screen ( http://dryfivedev.com/jce-first-load.jpg ) shot and a pinned-left image to demostrate ( http://dryfivedev.com/jce-demo-pinned-left.jpg ) ... currently the user needs to reposition the JCE window to gain a full view. Maybe the option of it pinning top left (or centered on the screen) would be a better option to save the user a few clicks and drags for those that JCE editor frequently. Even better, have the option for the JCE window to launch once the user clicks inside the Text Addon.

I've also noticed another issue with PB 4 Text Add On where I can't edit using just the standard text block that loads ... I need to launch JCE to make any change. Could be confusing for users that wanted to make a quick change. Here's a video to demonstrate: http://dryfivedev.com/text-addon-issue.mov

You'll notice in the video that it's impossible to place the cursor after the last line of text to add additional text. Instead the text gets added to the beginning of the text block. It's also impossible to highlight any portion of the text ... when trying, the entire block gets highlighted.

Regards.

Thanks. If the bug I outlined could be addresses regarding not being able to edit text in the default text-block that would be much appreciated!
