How To Make A Slider With Only One Slide

Hello, I would like to add a slider module with only one slider in the homepage. My customer wants the photo with the black rectangle in it. The moving text must be placed in that rectangle.

Responsive always gives a problem. I already try everything, (padding, tablet layout, mobile layout..) there was always a problem with one resolution.

If I insert this as a slider, I automatically have the responsiveness, but then there is the ability to swipe and I want to turn that off. Is there a Javascript that i can delete?

Thx

Natascha

Hi Natascha ,

to be honest for one slide - you don't need Slideshow addon.

Use Background image for Row (section), then use Heading addon(s) for text inside with animation effects...

I use this method all the time.

Hello Paul

Thx for the fast response.

But in that way, the text doesn't stay in the square - responsive The photo is actually with the square in it.

It can... it depends on your skills and correct settings. Maybe using image as box it not great idea in 2023, we used that method 10-15 years ago. Now all should be based on CSS or SVG shapes. That's also what any web front-end expert will (should) tell you.

Ok Paul, I do believe you, i said it to the client too.....i made sites in that way 15 years ago

But she really wants it like that :(

so the only solution i saw is to make a slider with one slide, i do realise it's a very weird question

In normal support that we not offer do make custom designs for our users (and for their clients).
