Text Padding In A Text Box Not Working

I want to add some spacing/padding before and after the text so its not right up agaist the boxes you see in the image. I set the padding and spacing but I don't see it working. What am I doing wrong?

Hello David Malton

Please add 20px in each box and then it will be applied. You can also use 20em or 20rem or 20% in the boxes.
