I don't understand. Joomla update process is always on webmaster hands, not ours. It's Joomla Core feature!

If somehow you cannot do that from Joomla admin, do it manually via FTP tool or File Manager from cPanel.

According to Joomla.org tips:

1. Download current Joomla 4.x update package.
2. Unzip and Upload all files or unzip package directly on server.
3. Then in Joomla Admin > Maintenance > Database > mark all and click "Update structure" button.
4. That's all.

It's a method that work since Joomla 1.0.x :]
