In Empire Template there is the "ThumbSlider". The first color is orange. When switching items to position 1 it will turn orange.

Use this custom CSS
.slide_thumb_wrap .flexslider .slides li .thumb-wrap .thumb-text{
background: rgb(106 189 131 / 80%) none repeat scroll 0 0 !important;
}
Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code.

Do you also have an idea how to change the number of coloums (thumbs) for this sider? Actually there are 4 but I need 7.
