Hi,

I use the Helix Ultimate template and have built a search field into the header. Now there is this big search box.

Is it possibility with the Helix Ultimate, that I can also use an search icon? Like in the One Clip Template?

Hi Thomas,

the easiest way (no extra coding) would be:

  1. Add new menu item - using Joomla "Search or Smart Search" component
  2. Using Helix Ultimate settings hide menu item title and choose "search" icon
  3. You should see search icon only as last item in menu (header).

I have done this. The helix template has a filed by default called topsearch Create a module using the smart search In the module, have the setings as follows Seach Filter -No Filter Search Suggestions Hide Advanced Search Hide Seach Field Label Hide Alternative Label empty Search button Hide Enable Opensearch No Set itemID leave as is

This will display the simple search icon, which whenclicked will give a small search popup
