Ignite Gallery Content Plugin

Hi, Trying to use Ignite Galery Content Plugin to display a photo gallery in page builder. I've placed the code in a custom module, set the module to "prepare content" and put it in the Module Add On with no luck whatsoever. It just wont show anything. I've used that plugin many times so I'm pretty sure I've got it configured properly. What's the trick to get modules to display properly?

Hi Matt,

As I see here (https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/ignite-gallery/), that extension has also a module.

Use that module by using Module addon. Check if it will work also in template module position in case of.

Hi,

I have also a question about Ignite gallery for Joomla. I'm switching from Gantry to PBP and have a problem with Ignite icw PBP. I have multiple galleries and several categories with photos in each category. Cat A, B, C Cat A with photos A1, A2, A3,... Cat B with B1, B2, etc.

On my site I want to show (it works in Gantry) the category photos and when I click on a category photo I get the photos from this category. (e.g. "A1, A2, A3,...")

Ignite has a module which I use in PBP for the galleries without categories. Showing category photos via PBP works partially, but when I click on a category photo e.g. "A", I get a 404 error. This is because Ignite opens a subpage for "A1, A2, A3,.." and this is not supported in PBP

The workaround I use is to open the categories in Joomla menu items. Working this way means I have pages in PBP and pages via the menu system. Working this way makes it hard to realize a uniform layout. e.g. logo, breadcrumbs and footer via PBP pages and also with Helix module positions. For now I placed the logo and breadcrumbs via a Helix module position so I have at least the same look and feel on all pages but this "undermines" in my opinion the PBP concept.

In short, how can I use the page builder component, and also display pages with Joomla components (and have the pages look the same). When not possible could it be added in a future release. I pretty sure I'm not the only one struggling with components in PBP. I have also contact with the the Ignite developer, but he can't solve this in his module.

Regards, Ron

Now is probably not possible, in the future maybe. But I don't know when, also becuase IG is paid extension.

Solution for now will be....

In Menu use IG component view, and if you need, add SPPB content using SPPB modules. You can use different template position. I don't know Gantry well, but in Helix you have positions under and below component area. And then all should work as you need.
