How To Customize The Sign-in Item In Helix Ultimate (Template)

Template 2 years ago

I installed the Helix Ultimate 2.0.13 template (not the Quickstart) version in Joomla 4.3.3. I enabled the login option under the header and got a Sign-in menu item. The odd part is that i could not find the module or plugin for this Sign-in. I want to customize the Sign-in and i am not sure where to locate it or how to customize it.

Please advise.

Hi Murugappan,

you have to edit that file:

templates\shaper_helixultimate\features\menu.php

at the bottom find section "Render login/sign in option in header" section

Fantastic!!! Now you expect every user to go and hack the code? This will be lost each time the template is updated or reinstalled. Why does joomshaper meddle with Joomla's native functions?? If you, then you must change the UI for that so that user can customize just like the way Joomla has provided.

What an absolute waste! Many of your templates are the same. Joomshaper has meddled with the Login function without providing proper UI to customise them. The best part many of the templates are useless for PHP 8.1 and Jooma 4. This is going on Facebook definitely.

Please do not reply this post as it is waste of time and hopeless case. Thank you.

We don't expect that evey user have to edit php code. It's like with a car, 80-90% will use it as it is, and those who decide to make changes had better know what they are doing. And what parts and methods they use.

Besides, think out the box.

Have a nice day.

I knew you will get the whole concept wrong but didnt know you would get it wrong about life things too. 75%, if not 90%, of us who buy a car do not use as is. We modify rims, change the tyres, add screen tints, add seat covers, add stereos, add video cams, add deoderants etc.

With sign-ons we need to tell the customer the T & C, Moral Obligations, Accountability etc. See the screen cap what we as business solution developers need to do.

I could do this just using the Joomla Login plugin without any coding. We have to do this in 4 languages too!! Now, go do the math instead of shooting off.

But you can publish any module (also Custom or SPPB) on Login page, this is and always was possible even in Helix3 templates. In HU you can just use "content-top" position for that purpose and publish on menu item with login view. I have used it so many times, also on multilingual sites.

But in first post you asked me about that area, not component login view.
