I would like to have a "Quick Links" menu in the footer. If I try adding a link for the Home (page) and use Home as title (which generates home as alias) I get the save failer error "the alias home is being used by the Home menu item in the Main Menu menu." So, what is the proper way to add a "Home" link in the footer? in Joomla 3.x I think you could have a duplicate alias if in another menu.

this is typical Joomla question. Hopefully easy to solve:
- Use different alias - just add "2" at the end or extra word
- And Use Redirection: Yes
- Yes, it will work than, and it's still SEO friendly.

Accepted AnswerThanks, Paul. I noticed I could do as you mention, just modify the alias, but that seems like an odd workaround... home, home1, home2, etc., and results in messy URLs. So, I was wondering if maybe I was missing something, like a different, better, way to add the Home link in the footer.
