Macro-Template

Hello,

I have two questions.

Should I use the pagebuilder to create the new content under the menu item "pagebuilder" or as usual under "articles"? Editing this content behaves differently on the pages also when I use the pagebuilder as editor at "Article" menu. Should I then use the frontend or backend editor here?

Is the content - no matter where it was created - backed up by Akeeba Backup?

If I use the page builder in the macro template under the menu "Edit article", I only get the page "Start creating page" with the selection Layout Bundles and "Add new row". - How do I get to my existing content to edit it?

Greetings

Hi there!

Thanks for contacting us.

Yes, you can use SP Pge Builder to create both pages, and articles, no problem.

Article details page can be designed by SPPB editor, but it can not be edit your existing content that was made with the default Joomla editor. There is no default way to migrate the contents from the Joomla editor to the SPPB editor. You have to do it manually copy/paste method if the content allows copy paste feature.

With a akeeba full site backup, it includes SPPB pages also, yes.

Best Regards

If I may....

My suggestion after using SPPB since v1.0 is....

  1. Use Pages from SPPB for subpages: home page, contact, faq, about us, etc.
  2. Use Articles only for Blog/News section or Private Policy content

Using Article SPPB integration is possible, but Joomla request more time & files to load that content than using just a page.

Akeeba Backup - is very advaced tool, it allows you to backup full website, or only database.
