Add The Eye-icon To The Password Field

Hi

Is it possible to add the eye-icon to the password field so a user can reveal their password.

Hi Alison,

Joomla 4 and Helix Ultimate 2.0.14 by default support that in used by Joomla native forms, like you have, for example, in:

  • Admin login page
  • Login (component)
  • User Registration (component)

About others it probably depends on used Form component. Not all of them may support that "eye" that can preview/reveal password.

BTW

For example our Helix Ultimate login module doesn't have it yet, but it's quite easy to add that:

  1. Download & unzip: default.zip
  2. Use FTP tool and then override that file:

plugins\system\helixultimate\overrides\mod_login\default.php

after using that you should get

Dear Frank I just implemented your workaround with the override of default.php The Icon appears now, but the toggle functionality does not work. Example Any ideas? Thanks in advance
