Strange problem , page edited in back end, Saved , viewed and all ok . Later it then reverts back and all updates dissappeared.

Clean install of newskit template kickstart and upgraded to . Joomla 4.4.0 SPPB 5.2.0 php 8.1

Cleared cache etc number of times different browsers

Sorry for your experience.

Is there any error in your console while saving? However, the Newskit template is not compatible with PHP 8 yet, please use lower version of PHP and check. Let us know if it helps!
