Content-first And Media Queries

The end of the year is coming and I try to think about the next year. I want to start creating content-first websites. I have a few questions and maybe suggestions for improving SPPB and Helix.

  1. Where in SPPB is the information stored, how it distributes Media Queries? Each component uses its own settings and I need to unify them.

  2. It would perhaps be interesting if I could set this value in the sppb settings and then use it at work (for example, in the Advanced settings I set the value for Container Maximum Width. It could also work with the settings for different viewports). At work, it can replace the Hidden on Mobile Landscape etc options in the responsive tab.

  3. In the SPPB settings there is an option "Disable Animate Css" which for some reason does not work. Or maybe I don't understand how it's supposed to work. But I thought it would be useful to add an option to disable css animation for a certain viewport. So that I can turn off animations for mobile phones for example.

  4. When working in Helix tempalte I have the option to switch between three viewports (for desktop, tablet and mobile) which is great. It would be even better to have this option in SPPB so that I can see how the order of elements changes and work better.

  5. Are you considering implementing AMP?

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out & glad to hear that you are interested to use the Page Builder. Please check the answers of your questions.

Where in SPPB is the information stored, how it distributes Media Queries? Each component uses its own settings and I need to unify them.

Page Builder pages content stored into the database & media queries is comes from the page builder css code. Which is called viewport settings for mobile, tablet, etc. If you want to explore more details about the Page Builder then you should check the documentation & check it your end.

It would perhaps be interesting if I could set this value in the sppb settings and then use it at work (for example, in the Advanced settings I set the value for Container Maximum Width. Animation feature doesn't have feature of viewport.

When working in Helix tempalte I have the option to switch between three viewports (for desktop, tablet and mobile) which is great. It would be even better to have this option in SPPB so that I can see how the order of elements changes and work better.

Please check the viewport of Page Builder https://prnt.sc/Kfo8bXIMPsoa

Are you considering implementing AMP?

We don't have plan to add the AMP at this moment.

Thank you for the comprehensive answers. I get half of it if I don't work in the back-end but the front-end. Which is not good for me, but I have to get used to it.

I read the documentation, but probably not carefully enough.
