is the Shaper_empire Template compatible with Joomla 5? If not is it planned to be update the template?

the simples ways to check is to use filter on Templates list: https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates?support=joomla5

Empire has J4 version only, it means that it may or not work inside J5, but no guarantees are given.

Yes, we planned to upgrade templates for J5 support this year. Also becuase that J4.4 core will be supported till Oct 2024.
