Hi.

I am asking for help on three topics.

1. Moving the custom.css file to the preset1.css file

2. Pagination does not work in SP Author Archive

3. Related Articles are not available in the Gazette template. Will this be updated?

(Joomla 5.0.3, Shaper Gazette 2.0.3, php 8.2.16)

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight.

  1. Moving the custom.css file to the preset1.css file

Why do you wanna move the custom.css code inside the preset1.css file?

  2. Pagination does not work in SP Author Archive

Will you please provide me the Joomla administrator access to check the issue?

  3. Related Articles are not available in the Gazette template. Will this be updated?

The Template doesn't have related articles design. That's why this function is not added.

Best regards,

Toufiqur Rahman (Team Lead, Support)

Hi there,

  1. I don't want to move the custom.css code to the preset1.css file. I want to move the custom.css file under the preset1.css file. What I mean is the order in which the css files are loaded. This is the case with other Shaper templates.

  2. I will prepare a Joomla administrator account for you.

  3. Okay. I acknowledge this.

Best regards,

The related article function has been added. Additionally, the pagination works well, with nine items displayed correctly. However, the author archive does not update live and cannot be applied automatically. You will need to download and install it manually. Thanks

  1. How to change the loading order of the custom.css file? - problem not solved.

  2. Pagination in SP Author Archive does not work well. Only 9 articles can be set. How to change the item limit to 12, 18, 24 etc.

  3. Related Articles - problem solved. Thank you.

All my problems were positively resolved.

  1. Custom.css file - loading order changed.
  2. Pagination in Author Archive works correctly.
  3. Related Articles has been added to the template.

Thank you very much for these corrections.

I have one more question. Will a future update of the Gazette template take into account the corrections made? Will they be overwritten?

I have two more problems:

  1. Related Articles displays Large-image. How to change to a smaller image, e.g. Thumbnail-image?
  2. Social sharing buttons on article page not showing.

Regards.

  1. Error messages in the Gazette template (several thousand logs a day):
  • [20-Mar-2024 20:54:49 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $full_image_alt_txt in /home/infosport/public_html/templates/shaper_gazette/html/layouts/joomla/content/intro_image.php on line 70

  1. Social share is still not displayed in articles.

Please help me how to fix this.

Maybe, the caching issue caused this problem. I have checked this feature on my localhost and it works fine. Thanks

It doesn't appear for me. I checked on several computers, in different browsers, and cleared the memory.

Can you solve this problem:

[22-Mar-2024 07:14:30 UTC] PHP Deprecated: htmlspecialchars(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /home/infosport/public_html/templates/shaper_gazette/html/layouts/joomla/content/intro_image.php on line 70

This is in the logs on the server (several thousand entries a day)

The problem with errors in the logs has been resolved. A programmer friend helped me.

I'm using PHP 8.2. which is very restrictive. The Gazette template is not yet fully compatible with this version of PHP, which is why these errors occurred.

I hope your development team will take this into consideration for future template updates.
