SP Page Builder 1 month ago

Hi,

Before latest SP page builder update my website was ok here : https://prnt.sc/HJlT6j7qdGTk But AFTER migration to 5.2.8 release I get this : https://prnt.sc/C38EFFQZp0tG

Images size is very big, even if I add size here : https://prnt.sc/jd_ecw1NolYP

AGAIN : everything was fine before the update.

So :

  1. could you please send me previous version of sp page builder to do a rollback?
  2. fix this bug?

Thanks L.

In the meantime this is corrected, you can define the width of the images by customizing by yourself the style of the Addon:

.sppb-addon-single-image .sppb-img-responsive { width: 200px; }

Hope this helps

yes but this is not the solution.

the page builer software is supposed to offer this customization out of the box. So this is not logic to add css to overstep the bugs of the software.

here, everything was working before the update. And after the update, does not work.

This is clearly a bug that must be corrected asap.

just keep in mind that we pay for this service and we do not have to find a workaround by ourselves to overstep the bugs of the software.

This is not acceptable.

I agree this is definitly a bug that has to be fixed.

My suggestion wasn't meant to be THE solution; it was just supposed to help you restore the appearence of your site in the meantime...

Have a good day

The size settings don't have any effect - it is not parsed into to the code - thats the reason why images are shown in 100 percent size. SVGs are not shown in any way. It is unbelievable how such mistakes can happen - sorry.

Example: I tried to set values on the image size settings - nothing is parsed to the code.

<div class="sppb-addon-single-image-container"><img class="sppb-img-responsive " src="/images/icons/icon-logodesign.svg" srcset="/images/icons/icon-logodesign.svg 2x" alt="Logodesign" title=""></div>

Hope the fix will be delivered asap.

I confirm, the update to page builder 5.2.8 created a bug on image sizes. Although there are values in the height field of my site, they have disappeared in the code. I had to revert to the previous PB version.

thanks for previous release.

I have 2 suggestions for your team :

  1. could you please create a page on your website, where we will be able to download previous versions of your extensions? many developers offer this service, this is very useful because in case of bugs, we can do a rollback without asking you.

  2. please improve your tests because I note a degradation of quality since several month. every release of SP page builder has many bugs that, I think are not acceptable at this level of service.

Hi Laurent, if you click here: https://www.joomshaper.com/downloads/extension/sp-page-builder-pro-next

You can download older version.

In the box, at the top right you will find the previous versions.

I agree with you that it would not be appropriate to release new versions, which also appear in the Joomla update area, if you are not sure that everything is working properly. It seems to me that this latest release has significant problems, it's not the first time, in fact I have the habit of keeping a directory where I keep the latest versions of different components and plugins.

thanks for the clarification about older versions. but I think this link is not enough visible. should be a specific button inside user account like OLDER VERSIONS. because today this link is hiddent inside changelog, this does not make sense.

The link I provided you is to the JoomShaper reserved area, which allows you to recover the PRO or FREE version with all its versions. Clearly you must be registered and enabled to download

I don't insist, but this link works if you use the PRO version. If you use the FREE version then you need to go here.

https://www.joomshaper.com/downloads/extension/sp-page-builder-lite-next

They are fully functional, you just need to be logged in to the reserved area, and you will find all the previous versions of Page Builder.

Sorry, but you wrote that OLDER VERSION was not visible, and it does not correspond to the truth. Because you just enter the download area and see the download button, but if you click on the specific title of the Page Builder component, you see everything, including old versions. It's always been like this.

just because it’s always been like that doesn’t mean it’s relevant.

This is simply unbelievable... There has never been a case where a new version didn't break something that was working perfectly.

I checked on one of my sites and of course the photos don't scale. Of course, a quick rollback to version 5.2.7 fixed the bug. I hope that version 5.2.9 will be available soon (hours not days).

Hi Laurent,

Sorry for this inconvenience. You can try this build. But please make sure you have a full site backup before making any changes.

And our team is working on it. It will be fixed by the next update. They are trying to fix it ASAP.

Sorry again.

Good morning. We downloaded the latest version after 5.2.7 and did what you suggested while waiting for version 5.2.30 which should fix this bug on the images.

I confirm that version 5.2.9, including the solution suggested here https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/31799 does not work correctly.

Although it is true that it eliminates the problem of not reading the inline CSS, it still rewrites it by changing the ID and in an inappropriate way.

To make you understand, I show the ID associated with an image with its inline up to PB version 5.2.7

#sppb-addon-9CkDtggZOTkMYlaSBp6Xa img {
  border-radius: 0px;
  height: 180px;
}

After the update to 5.2.9, the same image, in the CSS, transforms like this:

#sppb-addon-1640189291595 img {
  border-radius: 0px;
}
#sppb-addon-1640189291595 img {
  height: 180px;
}

As you can see, the ID changes and the css is divided into two parts, code added but not exactly correct.

Hello,

I had the same problem with the large images with 5.2.8. Since version 5.2.9 the images are back to normal. I wanted to use the new Image Shape features, which works great, but unfortunately it only shows up normally in the SP Builder in the preview or on the website. Are any further settings necessary? Thank you for your time.
