Is It (still) Possible To Add Adobe Fonts To Helix Ultimate?

This question has been asked before but the answers seem outdated. In the Helix documentation it says "We allow webmasters a choice, they can use Google Fonts or/and System fonts. Of course, anytime they can also upload and set their own custom font using custom CSS."

Since Adobe Fonts cannot be 'uploaded' i tried to add this code to custom css, before </head>, =

<link rel="stylesheet" href="/https://use.typekit.net/lyl5xkv.css">

But thereafter, when I clear cache, refresh etc and go to typpgraphy, the font does not appear in the options. What do I have to do to make Helix/SP Page Builder recognize my Adobe Fonts?

The website in question is rotterdamstyle.com

Hi Bryan.

Helix from Template Options does not support Adobe Fonts, so you will NOT see them there in select list. You can use them only by using both Custom CSS and of course < link rel="stylesheet"....

Adobe guide: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/using/add-fonts-website.html

It means that you have to join font with HTML tags, for example:

h1, h2, h3 {font-family:"bookmania"; font-weight:700; font-style:normal;}

p {font-family:"bookmania"; font-weight:300;}

Do you see now what you missed?

Adobe Fonts

Hi. In general, an attempt to use Adobe Fonts on the site is a very bad idea. These fonts are designed for desktop applications but not for the Web environment. Typekit servers are very not reliable for use on the site. And you may need additional authorization to use this.

Thanks Pavel. I'm experimenting after all, since I am working on a rebrand using Adobe Fonts and I like having everything in one place. But if it doesn't work out, I guess I'll look for similar system/google fonts instead.

For EU countries we recommned using font files loaded locally, becuase of GDPR law.
