How To Get Search Suggestions To Display In Front Of Menu

I've got a search field in the top bar of the site, but when searching, the results are hidden behind the menu. How can I get that to appear in front of the menu? Please see screenshot. Thanks! https://snipboard.io/A3tNsu.jpg

I think I found it. I put the following into custom css in Helix. Is that the best solution?

awesomplete > ul { position: absolute; left: 0; z-index: 100 !important; min-width: 100%; box-sizing: border-box; list-style: none; padding: 0; margin: 0; background: #fff; color: #000; }
