Check For Updates Not Working

I have recently downloaded the Delacroy quickstart. It comes with an outdated Joomla v 4.2.6

Using php 8.1

When I check for updates the page never loads, it just satys on the same page like it's checking for a long time.

Can someone advise how to fix this or what I should check?

Site is localhost.

Thanks, I gave up ad reinstalled the quickstart.

I have just checked fresh quickstart installation. Did you mean the following page? Pre-Update Check for Joomla 4.4.5 page is loading fine on my localhost:

I think Joomla or browser cache cleaning may help!
