Hello Murugappan Ramanathan

Apology for the inconvenience. The documentation will be updated soon. What exact issues are you facing with PHP 8? What is your PHP version? Let me know and share some screenshots of the problem. I will check it on my end.

Best regards

Hello Ofi Khan

Frankly you should be testing and debugging the template before loading into the product site. Many time Joomshaper has been expecting users to do this for them. This is highly unprofessional and this does not seem to have changed over the years.

Anyway here goes the issues:

(1) From the home page, selecting the Wimble template details, it show the following thumbnail:

https://prnt.sc/H9yr0Kn0G_yh

(2) On reading the details, i get that it is Joomla 4,5,3 compatible

https://prnt.sc/50lfV17cGax

(3) On the reading the Wimble documentation, it seems to be outdated:

https://prnt.sc/V_lKGQ6gavWT

(4) On actual preview the home page shows this and the menu items do not work:

https://prnt.sc/Ps8thWghgOhI

(5) On actual install, the home page the elements are displayed wrong (ignore the images)

https://prnt.sc/c7_yZGZq1QCy

https://prnt.sc/cq2Cc4pk5pfN

Please revisit all your templates, update them (including documentation), test and then relaunch. I threw away all the templates i downloaded as I feel they may all be the same.

I think you have a confusion here. The template is all Joomla versions 3, 4 and 5 compatible. The technical requirements shows the minimum requirement for the template to work. You need at least PHP 7.0 to install it. But it will work on PHP 8 and above too. There are multiple home variations for Wimble template and the template styles are also duplicated. This is the feature of the template. You might not need all variations. You can use one variation and leave the other. Another word you have marked is spelled wrong (maraketing). It can be easily fixed and actually you will update the text according to your site needs. I do not see any real problem here. I would appreciate that you kindly check the template. Install it on your site and share if you find any real issue. I will try my best to fix and explain to you.

Have a good day!

Excuse me !!!!

You are the one who is confused.

(1) Your documentation stated "PHP 7.0.x (minimum), PHP 7.1 or PHP 7.2 or PHP 7.3 (64 bit version, recommended)". It does not say " PHP 8.0 amd above". If it does then i must be blind.

(2) In your own preview, it does not show the variation that is shown in the details for the template. Go see again. Previously it used to show but now it is not there.

(3) I am not highlighting the spelling. I am showing the red strike-through line. Looks like the addon may not not working for PHP 8.1. For you info, we are using J4 and PHP 8.1.

For your information, my comments are after i have installed in my site. Why do you have the same bad atitude and denial? We do have an emterprise license and we are about to renew it. May be we should stop and let all our group members to do the same. Anyway we will publish this in facebook and warn all our members.

  1. Please read it again. This is the minimum requirement. There is no maximum PHP version mentioned. But in my test, the template works with PHP 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 all versions.
  2. I got it. There is a different page set on the demo. It is not a big issue. I can help you if you tell me which page you want to set as homepage.
  3. I have checked it with PHP 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3. It is the same in all PHP versions.

I am really sorry for choosing inappropriate words. I am trying to help you. I do not intent to show attitude or denial. This does not goes with our culture.

(1) If that is true, then why do you state "PHP 7.3 (64 bit version, recommended)". The documentation is misleading. I got the same feedback from many of our members. From my English, what i understand from that is Joomshaper recommends us to use PHP version 7.3 implying that they are not sure on later versions of PHP.

(2) You are not helping me. I am trying to help you to be consistent. We (i mean our members too) do not use any of your templates simply because of many of them contain special addons that are not in the Pro version of Page Builder. Many of us feel that we may be paying for less functionality in Page Builder. Joomshaper should have added these additional functionality in the SPPB. Until today none of these special functionalities are present in the SPPB and we had to buy other third-party extensions which can do the same or a better job. Anyway we use the templates only to get some ideas on "how to". We use the Helix Ultimate template only. Many of us may soon by buying SPPB only and not the templates.

One thing for sure, you documentation needs extensive facelifting. I guess i have to be active in facebook again. Thank you.

  1. I agree with you on this topic. We need to update our documentation in many areas. I will share your feedback to the Content team so that they can prioritize this issue. For example, this PHP 7.3 (64 bit version, recommended) was written when it was the latest PHP stable version. I think we should recommend PHP 8.0 now.
  2. We are on the same boat. The team is trying not to use any special addon because of this. You will not find any custom or special addon on the latest templates. We are developing our template with the core SPPB addons so that you can use the template in the future with updated SPPB version. For now, I have a tutorial if you really want to use any custom or special addon in other Helix Ultimate templates. You may have a look at this: How to use Special addon in any Helix Template
  3. Adding to this, if you have any new addon idea, then you can share it with us. The development team team will review this and might add the new addon to SP Page Builder.

  1. Did you mean "...recommend PHP 8.0 as minimum"? As you stated, these templates should work PHP 8.0 or greater. Is my understanding correct?
  2. Thank you for the link. I will try it. Also, there was a blog post which provided a guide on how we could customize the css inside an addon. Now i do not find any of the blogs on customizing the addons. Where can i find them?
  3. There are so many exciting extension available in the market. Joomshaper should review them and add addons or extend the addons to provide such features. You could always sell it as extended SPPB Addons. One such extension has been created by Warptheme. They have actuallly extended your addons but some of them do not seem to integrate well. For you information, i have over 300 extensions in my library.

  1. The template will work from PHP 7 up to the latest PHP 8. This is what I meant.
  2. I have found this article: https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/how-to-create-custom-addon-in-sp-page-builder-4
  3. Thanks for the tip. I will share it with the team to check out.

  1. Thank you for the update. Please update you documentation accordingly. More of our user group members are already complaining. Especially on the SP Page Builder documentation. I agree that documentation has improved over the years but missing on key aspects. Its never in sync with the latest release and also it is missing explanation on how to use (and providing example) on some of the option in the addon. There is one joker who trying to provide such details in YouTube but always incomplete and wants us to sign-up for a full paid course.
  2. I was not asking to build custom addons and i do not want to either. I have better things to do in delivering business solution and also is better/quicker done by experts like you. I am talking about changing the styles of the addons. Example, I want to change the space between menu item. I remember seeing such a blog before but now i cannot locate it as you blog search is not helpful.
  3. Check out GPTranslate extension from https://storejextensions.org/. Its so simple and yet powerful. Your extension library is so poor and practically became irrelevant. Build more extensions which we could buy from Joomshaper to ensure complete support and single source. Dont waste your time with templates. Many users dont really want your templates as most are just recycled ideas. You product development people must surely be hibernating. Please wake them up. This is my advise. You have so much skill but wasted on least needed areas.
