Home Page Slider Pauses Sometimes

The slider on the Home page pauses sometimes. It is not set to pause on hover but sometimes it will run through the 4 slides and maybe get to the 10th rotation and then pause for no reason. There is no regularity to which slide it pauses on - it is random.

Why would this happen? Is there a code that is missing to insure that the slides keep rotating?
