Hello,

I am looking for a way to use easystore form for registrations as well as easystore confirmation email.

I do not understand and cannot find where it is.

It is the Joomla email that is used and easystore email is never used during registrations.

EasyStore doesn't support this. It is a major missing feature and makes using registered user checkout almost impossible in EasyStore.

There's nothing anywhere in the EasyStore checkout process to allow for account creation within the checkout process.

Dropping out of the checkout process to register an account; then authorise it; then re-navigate to EasyStore; then checkout; then login; then checkout - is NOT a good user experience!

So what is the purpose of the email sent during registration given that it is never sent since registration is via the Joomla system?

Hello Julien Rousseau

When you register for EasyStore, you also register as a Joomla user for the site with certain access. Thus your site email address is used and EasyStore email is not used. Why do you need to use EasyStore email in the registration process? Could you please explain it more? I will share your suggestion with the development team.

Best regards

@Ofi Khan - you've missed the point!

WHY is there a registration email response pre-configured within EasyStore (EasyStore > Settings > Email Notification > New Account) when it is IMPOSSIBLE to create a new user / account from within EasyStore???

The account creation process you use is the standard Joomla account creation process - so the EasyStore email will never be used as it is not called by Joomla.

The correct functional workflow would be for an inline account creation process within the EasyStore checkout page. This would then make the email worthwhile.

Stuart just detailed exactly what I'm explaining. Why insert an unusable option into easystore's mail configurations?

Yep, that registration process is a mess.... looks like still in beta version. It's a joomla registration, not a store registration... how many customers possibly lost by a user scary experience.... The worst is after registration, with the message "Registration complete"... It opens an empty page with the message fixed in bottom right of the page.... As the class of that message is dependent of "system-message-container", if I change the css, it will change in many places of the site....

What would have been nice is that on the previous page where you either connect or fill your infos is that if you have already an account, you click on connect and a dropdown comes with user and password to fill and that's it.

I have talked with the team. We will review on Registration process. We might release one update and then check it. I appreciate your patience on this matter.
