Article Addon No Longer Displays Intro Text

SP Page Builder 1 year ago

After updating to SP Page Builder 5.4.1, some of the Articles addons do not display the intro text. Also, fonts and colors were overriden with different colors, I had to remove the new font attributes that were added after the update.

The wesite below displays a section called "Messages From Our CEO and President" and below it are 3 entries using the Articles addon. I'm using 2 different Articles addons, the 2 articles without intro text have the issue. Intro text is enabled.

I have fixed your issue. The edito was creating a paragraph tag whenever we take a new line. I have gone to code editor and fixed it. I have removed all paragraphs. All introtext content (including image) is kept in one paragraph. On the text after one line, I have added break tag <br/> to separate the lines. It is showing perfectly now.

Thank you very much.

The "break" tag changes the display of the article when the article is viewed on it's native page, but I'll take it as a solution. I think this means I need to be concious of how I paragraph tags.

You are welcome 😊

You got it. I have a humble request. It would be very kind of you if you can manage some moment to give us feedback on

  1. Joomla Extension Directory
  2. TrustPilot

This will inspire us to improve.

I have checked but could not solve it. For further investigation, I want to work with it on my localhost. Please take a full site backup with Akeeba Backup in ZIP format and share here. Follow this tutorial. I will check it on my localhost.

I use Akeeba Backup daily, but this post wasn't made private, therefore I don't want others to have access to the file. Also, I don't see an option to upload a file in my response. I can provide a link to the file from the server in the private area. Or, Akeeba Backup is already configured in the website, you can download the lasted backup, a new backup is created every 2 days.

Please remove the image from the article text

prnt.sc/ycs5V2BQV6v4

Then the introtext character limit will work.

The image is part of the Joomla article, and this worked before the last update.

This article has a leading image and the intro text displays as expected: https://caaai.org/news-updates/caaai-president-s-christmas-message-2022.

Edit: I removed the image from the Joomla article and only 105 of the 1018 characters displayed for the intro text.
