Joomla Custom Fields (URL)

Asked by Piérick Domengé 2 years ago Last activity 2 years ago

Hello !

I use Joomla native customs fields to add an URL to my articles.

The URL is cliquable on the article's page but not on the Articles widget in page builder.

How can I make it work ?

Thanks !

Hi Piérick Domengé,

Thank you for reaching out. Are you referring to the Article addon?

Currently, the Article addon does not support clickable links for custom fields. This functionality isn’t available yet, but I've submitted a feature request to our development team, and they have taken note.

In the meantime, here are a couple of options:

  1. You can disable the custom field display in the addon to prevent it from showing as plain text. https://prnt.sc/qN_BYoa0OuAt
  2. Alternatively, you can add the URL as a clickable hyperlink directly within the main content of your article. This will display it as a link above the article in the addon.

Thank you for your understanding.
