Hello, I have a problem with contact form on page builder. Some clients tells me having sent an email threw the form, but nothing arrives. When I've tested it, There's 2 emails arriving here against 8 sent threw the form. I try to change the reciever email. That's the same. I don't know where to show to find a solution. I try to see in PHPMyAdmin if there's a save of those email, but doesn't find... I don't know what to do. Thanks Fred

Hello,

Currently, you are using PHPMailer. Instead of PHPMailer, please try using SMTP. To do this:

  1. Log in to your cPanel and navigate to the Email section.
  2. Locate the SMTP configuration details there.
  3. Enter the SMTP configuration into your joomla site's system by going to: System > Global Configuration > Server > Mail.

Please, let me know Is It work or not?

Thanks!

Hello,

I apologize for the delay. I can confirm that the email was sent successfully. I tested the form three times, and each attempt was successful.

If you did not receive the email from 2nd time, I recommend switching from PHP Mail to SMTP. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue.

Thanks!

Hello,

I checked your site’s SMTP configuration using Mailtrap, and I can confirm that each form submission is being successfully received. It seems the issue lies within your SMTP configuration. I would recommend reviewing and verifying your SMTP settings.

You can also contact your hosting provider for further assistance with the configuration. Additionally, it seems the test mail is not being sent, so verifying the SMTP settings should resolve this issue.

Thanks,

4 days ago the SMTP configuration was ok. I recieve a confirm mail of that.

Why does'nt it work today ?

I've reconfigure it, juste send a mail test threw the admin button : the mail arrives.

But try again the form and dosn't work anymore.

Answer of siteground : I do admit this is the first time I am encountering such a form issue, we can confirm that the settings are correctly set, your email service is also operational so my suggestion here would be to proceed and double-check with the Joomla forum you mentioned as this is not related to your hosting or setup here

Hello,

Apologies for the delay. The issue is caused by the override in the “ajax contact” addon. You can either fix this override addon or remove it by navigating to: system -> template -> Shaper_helix3 -> sppagebuilder -> addons -> ajax contact.

If you have no special modification here, Just delete it, and use our contact addon instead of this.

I checked by using form builder which is work fine.

Thanks!

Thank you, I continue searching too and it was an idea I have.

But I try to delete as you said, but when I do that, I don't have acces to my frontend site anymore.

Is it something special I have to do ?

Hello,

Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Joomla root directory.
  2. Navigate to the folder I mentioned earlier (the path should be something like System -> Shaper_helix3 -> Template -> Sppagebuilder -> Addons -> Ajax Contact).
  3. Delete the folder causing the issue.

After that, replace the problematic contact form with SP Page Builder Contact addon on the pages where you’re using the Ajax contact form.

This action should not cause any conflicts with the rest of your setup.

Thank you!

Yes !

I had to completely delete the folder, not just only rename.

Than I create a new form and it seems to work ! Thank you for your help !!

Frederic
